Sonam Kapoor and her long time beau Anand Ahuja are scheduled to tie the knot on May 8 in Mumbai. The wedding is going to be a big fat Indian wedding one, with ceremonies extended over 3 days. The pre-wedding festivities have begun at Anil Kapoor’s mansion in Mumbai with a star-studded bash. On Friday, the Kapoors hosted a pre-wedding bash which saw Bollywood actors Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Anupam Kher and many more in attendance. Judwaa 2 actors Varun and Jacqueline were in full celebratory mood and were clicked in their cheerful best.
Being a close friend to Arjun Kapoor, who’s Sonam Kapoor’s cousin, Varun Dhawan is taking break from his shooting schedule to be a part of her wedding. It’s rather evident from the camaraderie between Arjun and Varun in the pictures, how much this wedding means to the October actor.

A couple of days ago, pictures of Sonam Kapoor’s wedding invitation card were doing rounds on social media. It was a pale green coloured card with floral motifs in background. According to the invitation card, Sonam Kapoor’s Mehendi ceremony will take place in the evening of May 7 at the Sunteck Signature Island in Bandra. The wedding will take place on May 8 at Rockdale, which is reportedly her aunt’s bungalow. The wedding ceremonies will conclude with a grand party at The Leela in Mumbai.
After the rumours of Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding went around on the social media, the respective families of the couple issued a joint statement confirming the same. It read, “The Kapoor and Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family's need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives."

The actress is frequently spotted with Ahuja, however she never spoke publicly about her relationship status.
