Kartik Aaryan is on a roll these days as his last released Bollywood film Luka Chuppi is minting big numbers on the box office. The film has garnered praise from all corners and after Sonu from Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Kartik Aaryan’s role as Guddu from the film has become a hot favorite among the audience. Even when new films like Badla and Captain Marvel have hit the screens, they haven’t slowed down its successful run. While talking to Bollywoodlife, Kartik Aaryan expressed his joy on giving yet another blockbuster film and also revealed that he would like to play superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s role from the film Darr or Baazigar if their remakes are ever made.
In an interview with Bollywoodlife, Kartik Aaryan was asked in which film’s remake would he like to star in from the 90s and he said, “If someone is planning to remake Darr or Baazigar, then I would love to play Shah Rukh sir's role. These two are my favourite films. I love the grey shade characters of Rahul Mehra and Ajay/ Vicky Malhotra.” Earlier also the actor has expressed his desire to play grey shades on the big screen as he thinks he would make a good villain.
After Luka Chuppi, Kartik Aaryan is now shooting for his next film, Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal 2 with Sara Ali Khan. The video of the two kissing for a scene of the film went viral on the internet a while back. Commenting on the same, Kartik said, “I'm doing Imtiaz sir’s next and the producers Window Seat films will be able to elaborate about it! And talking about that video… was that really Sara and me? (Laughs).”
Talking about the best compliment the actor has received so far after his film Luka Chuppi, he said, "One compliment that I have got, by almost everyone, is regarding that Guddu ki bidaai scene which has gone viral, with the audience clapping and whistling through the scene. It involved a lot of comedy which was conveyed through expressions and my eyes had to do all the talking." He added, "Also, a lot of people have told me that after watching Luka Chuppi, I reminded them of Akshay Kumar in his younger days. That's a huge compliment for me as I have always admired Akshay sir. His journey is an inspiration for people like me, who comes from nowhere. Also, he is known for his comic timing and I consider it as a big compliment that people are seeing a glimpse of Akshay sir in me."
Other than Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal 2, Kartik Aaryan will also be seen in the remake of 1978 Bollywood film Pati, Patni Aur Woh alongside Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday.
