Veere Di Wedding: Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s film gets an A certificate
Veere Di Wedding starring Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania, has been making huge headlines since its announcement. women-oriented film created much buzz owing to its frequent use of profanities and cuss words. Now, the film has received an A certificate. The cusswords and swearing had been kept in the film and the same now applied for the film, according to a recent report.
"Both Jeetendra (Ekta Kapoor's father) and Anil argued heatedly in favour of the colourful language spoken in the film. They are convinced that today's youngsters speak that foul lurid leery language. Some panel members objected. But finally, the board members agreed to let the language remain intact and gave the film an 'A' certificate," a source told Deccan Chronicle.
The director of the film Shashanka Ghosh and producers Ekta and Rhea Kapoor, along with Anil Kapoor and Jeetendra attended the screening for the film certificate.
On a related note, Veere Di Wedding’s one of the leads, Sonam Kapoor has tied the knot to long time beau Anand Ahuja in a lavish wedding in Mumbai. The actress will soon be heading to Cannes to walk the red carpet like the past few years.
Veere Di Wedding is a women-oriented film based on the friendship of four Veeres, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania. Their friendship goes topsy turvy as one of their Veeres announces her wedding. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, the film is slated to release on June 1, 2018.
