Earlier there were reports that Shah Rukh Khan is not willing to star in the Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha, but now the recent buzz has it that the actor is keen on starring in the film. But he has provided two conditions on which he’s ready to work in the film. Previously, it was reported that the makers have refused to meet the demands made by Shah Rukh Khan. However, the remake rights were acquired by Neeraj Pandey, there are still chances that SRK might star in the film.
According to a leading daily, Shah Rukh Khan’s first demand was that he gets to play Vijay Setupathi’s role in the film with R. Madhavan playing his original role in the Hindi remake. But the makers wanted Shah Rukh Khan to play Madhavan’s role.
Secondly, shah Rukh Khan wants Neeraj Pandey to direct the film instead of Pushkar and Gayatri, who helmed the Tamil version. The reports also adds that Pandey wants to cast Shah Rukh Khan in Vikram Vedha Hindi remake and has given his nod to join the team as director.
R Madhavan stepped down from multiple projects post his shoulder injury. He was roped in Rohit Shetty’s Simmba as well, but citing his health concerns, he opted out.
Vikram Vedha is a Tamil hit which narrates the story of a no-nonsense police officer who has swore to capture a smuggler and murderer Vedha. The title of the film alludes to the mythological tale of King Vikramaditya and the celestial spirit Vedhalam.
