Soon after Pati Patni Aur Woh went on floors on Monday, Kartik Aaryan dropped his first look from the film. The Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor introduced himself as Chintu Tyagi from Lucknow who is very Samarpit yet Aashiq Mijaaz, in his own words. Sharing the look, he wrote, "Miliye Lucknow ke Chintu Tyagi Ji se #Samarpit #AashiqMizaaj #Pati #PatiPatniAurWoh." Kartik Aaryan is paired opposite Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar in this Mudassar Aziz directorial film. It is yet unknown who among Ananya and Bhumi will be playing his onscreen wife and who'll be his girlfriend. On Monday, the team announced that the film has gone on floors. In the picture, Bhumi Pednekar was missing while Kartik and Ananya hid their faces with the clapboard.
Pati Patni Aur Woh is an official remake of classic hit Bollywood film with the same title. The original film had Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta in the lead roles. The original film released in 1978. It is based on a married man who is having an affair with another woman and successfully convinces her that his wife is on her deathbed.
Earlier, Pati Patni Aur Woh remake courted headlines when actress Taapsee Pannu alleged that the makers dropped her name from the film to rope in star kid Ananya Panday. She told PTI, "Poor Mudassar (director Mudassar Ali) also hasn't been given a reason for it. He was just asked to 'take someone else.' When I tried to confront the producers, I wasn't given a proper reason. As much as I have been trying to get some clarity on the matter, they have been putting the conversation off, which is very weird."
"It is not a shocker to me that a film went out of my hands, not because I was not credible, but because I was not so-and-so's daughter or sister or dating so-and-so," she added.
On the related note, Kartik Aaryan will also be seen in Luka Chuppi with Kriti Sanon. The film is slated to release on 1st March, 2019.
