Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Ok Jaanu’ released last Friday. Despite being one of the much anticipated movies of the year, the film had an average opening with Rs 4.08 cr. It was expected that the film will witness growth in weekends but nothing as such happened.

The movie minted Rs 4.90 cr on Saturday and Rs. 4.82 cr on Sunday making Rs 13.80 cr its weekend collection. However, the collection slummed on Monday and the film fetched Rs 1.95 cr. Thus, the film has earned Rs 15.75 cr. till now.

A day after the release of ‘Ok Jaanu’, actress Deepika Padukone’s Hollywood debut ‘xXx Return of Xander Cage’ opposite Vin Diesel hit the screens. The film opened with Rs 6.75 cr. Though, its collection was better than Aditya-Shraddha starrer but looking at the huge popularity of Hollywood star in India and his scorching chemistry with Deepika, there was a little disappointment.

The opening weekend collection of the Hollywood movie was Rs 15.85crore. On Monday, the film earned Rs. 2.50 crores making Rs 18.35 crores its total box office collection till now.

The reason of films not making good business on Sunday can be considered India vs England cricket match as people in India refer cricket as their religion.

Both the films are expected to show growth in coming days.

Another movie that came to theatres last weekend was Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s low budget movie ‘Haraamkhor’ that collected Rs 1.01 cr on its first weekend.
