Filmfare Awards 2019 Highlights: Alia Bhatt says Love You to Ranbir Kapoor, Bollywood pays tribute to Sridevi

The 64th Filmfare Awards 2019 took place on Saturday night in Mumbai. The starry gala night was graced by the likes of Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Ayushmann Khurrana, Vicky Kaushal among other actors. Whilst Sara Ali Khan and Ishaan Khatter took home the Best Debut Actor trophies, Badhaai Ho, Raazi, AndhaDhun among other movies won big. While Ranbir Kapoor won his third Best Actor award after Rockstar and Barfi!, girlfriend Alia Bhatt bagged her second Best Actress award after Udta Punjab.

Alia Bhatt confesses her love for boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor

Alia Bhatt is so in love with beau Ranbir Kapoor, and as the actress lifted the Best Actor Female trophy at Filmfare Awards 2019, she had some kind words to say about director Meghna Gulzar, and Ranbir as well. She said, "Meghna, for me, 'Raazi' is you, your blood and sweat. You are my main chick. Vicky, without you, the film wouldn’t be complete. Thank you, my mentor, Karan for being my mentor, father and my fashion police. Tonight is all about love; there, my special one, I love you (Ranbir Kapoor)."

On the other hand, when Ranbir's name was announced as the winner in Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) category, he first kissed Alia, who was sitting right next to him.

Filmfare Awards remembers late actress Sridevi

A segment on the show was dedicated to a hear-warming tribute to Sridevi. Boney Kapoor and Karan Johar escorted Sridevi's daughters Janhvi and Khushi while exiting the stage after the shraddhanjali.
