In order to garner the votes for the party candidate Ajay Rai, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra held a mega roadshow in Varanasi, the Lok Sabha constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed public rallies in Paliganj (Bihar), Deoghar (Jharkhand), Basirhat and Diamond Harbour in West Bengal, on Wednesday. Congress president Rahul Gandhi held a public meeting at Bargari, a village in Faridkot Lok Sabha constituency in Punjab. Meanwhile, for the party candidate Ajay Rai, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra held a mega roadshow in Varanasi, the Lok Sabha constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The roadshow began from the city's Lanka area and culminated at the Kashi Vishwanath temple.
