Amid all the Padmavati controversies, a video of Aparna Yadav, the daughter-in-law of Samajwadi Party chief's veteran Mulayam Singh Yadav, dancing to the controversial Ghoomar song has hit the internet. The video, which has now gone viral, showcases Aparna taking the centre stage and dancing on stage with a group of women to the song. According to reports, Aparna was attending the engagement function of her brother in Lucknow. The three-minute-long track had Deepika Padukone performing Rajasthani folk dance to perfection. The song is sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Swaroop Khan while the lyrics are penned by A M Turaz and Rajasthani lyrics are by Swaroop Khan.

When the song was released, Deepika had called it one of her toughest sequences. “The Ghoomar Song has to be one of the most difficult yet most fulfilling song sequences I have ever shot for! #GhoomarToday @FilmPadmavati,” she had tweeted.

The Shree Rajput Karni Sena, an organisation of the Rajput community, has urged a nationwide ban on 'Padmavati' Few states have even announced that they will not release the film in their states.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati has been mired in controversy since its shooting started. Activists of the Karni Sena, besides other groups, have been protesting against the movie, claiming the film "distorts" historical facts.

On a related note, Haryana BJP leader Suraj Pal Amu, who reportedly offered a Rs 10 crore bounty for beheading "Padmavati" actor Deepika Padukone and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, on Wednesday resigned as the chief media coordinator of the state unit of the party.

The resignation comes days after the Haryana unit of the party served a show cause notice to him seeking explanation over his controversial remarks.
