Maharashtra government surprised the citizens of the state with a good news on Friday by allowing them food into the cinema halls from August 1. The government also directed the multiplex owners that food should be sold on the MRP of the products outside and inside of the multiplexes in the state. This decision received a lot of attention in no time. From Twitter to Facebook to Instagram, social media was loaded with discussions about the same. While most people supported the decision of not paying a steep price for products, jokes and memes poured in about people carrying their own eatables to the cinema halls.
Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies Ravindra Chavan announced, “The MRP parity for food items inside and outside the multiplexes would be effective from August 1 and the Home Department of the state government will formulate a policy to act against violators.”
Just when the news broke, netizens came up with the best memes of all times and flooded the social media with hilarious jokes. Here are a few examples of the trolls-
