UP govt presents Rs 24,000 Supplementary Budget for financial year 2025-26

UP Govt Supplementary Budget: For the uninitiated, the state government presented a Supplementary Budget of Rs 17,865 crore in December of the last financial year.

Uttar Pradesh government on Monday in the State Assembly presented the Supplementary Budget of Rs 24,000 crore for the financial year 2025-26. The budget was presented by Suresh Kumar Khanna, Minister of Finance and Parliamentary Affairs. This budget has already been approved by the Cabinet, which was chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The Supplementary Budget, presented two months before the next financial budget, is expected to boost some projects and accelerate underfunded schemes.

    The government presented two Supplementary Budgets in the financial year 2024-25, with the first one being of Rs 12,209.93 crore. With these additions, the state's combined budget for 2024-25 stood at Rs 7,66,513.36 crore.
