New Delhi: Paul Walker died on November 30 in a fiery car crash in Santa Clarita, California. Driven by his friend and business partner Roger Rodas, who also passed away in the crash, the car has a somewhat troubling past.

It was a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT owned by Rodas' race car store, Always Evolving, after acquiring it this spring for $359,000.

The car was originally purchased from Beverly Hills Porsche in California, in March of 2005. It ran only 456 miles when the second owner in California bought the car in 2007. And when it was sold to owner three in Texas in January, 2009, mileage was 1,510. Similarly, when the car was offered for sale in October, 2011, it had gained only 200 miles.

Eventually Rodas acquired the car last spring. Rodas, who is a financial consultant became friends and business partners with actor Paul Walker at a racetrack.

A professional driver told Autoweek that the Porsche Carrera GT was "scary" to drive even for pros, and the magazine agreed saying, "those of us at Autoweek who have driven the car will likely concur."

There were fewer than 1,300 of the V-10, 610-hp, midengine cars built from 2004-07, with less than half coming to the U.S.
