New Delhi, May 26: Chevrolet has confirmed that it will launch its modern utility vehicle ‘Enjoy' in the Indian market next month. Chevrolet Enjoy is a well developed seven seated Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) set up on the Wuling CN100 platform and was introduced in the Indian Market by General Motors.The company has also released some pictures and details of Enjoy and started an online campaign called 'Enjoy Voyage' that allows people to participate and win an all new Chevrolet Enjoy. The company is hopeful that the Chevrolet Enjoy will do exceptionally well in the Indian market due to its special features like g space, styling and design.The vehicle, which will be launched in both petrol and diesel variants, is currently undergoing trials at the Halol plant of General Motors India. The company says the Chevrolet Enjoy has been designed for those who for sophistication, ease and space in their vehicle which can make their life delightful. It says Enjoy, with seven seats, will cater to the demands of big Indian families. Exteriors On the outside, Chevrolet Enjoy has a bold and masculine character. From the front, it looks like a typical Chevy car with the golden bowtie sitting in the middle of the grille. The exterior of the car features raked up bonnet, good-looking nose and properly silhouetted headlights, fog lamps and tinted windshields with wiper. The vehicle has been designed with strong and sturdy chassis. To give a fluidic look to the Chevrolet Enjoy, the bonnet of the vehicle is decorated with downy characteristic stripes. The Enjoy has dimensions of 4305 mm in length, 1680 mm in breadth and 1750 mm in height. The Enjoy rides on 175/65/R14 tyres, which look too small for its size.The side profile of the MPV is still decent, if not too attractive. The Enjoy is identifiable from the side with its thick B and C pillars along with the large pentagonal glass for the third row. There is crease line that extends throughout the waist line to divide the mass of the body of the MPV. The wheels arches are very sharply carved and are outfitted with 6-spoke alloy wheels. The rear of Enjoy has also kept simple. A wide tinted windshield with wiper is followed by the Chevrolet Bowtie. Just above the number plate you'll find a thick chrome band. A high mounted stop lamp is given for enhanced safety of the MPV. The tail lights look quite sleek. The highlight of Chevrolet Enjoy is its roof rails. In a nutshell, all the exteriors of Chevrolet Enjoy have been done in a very poised manner, keeping in mind the needs and requirements of the Indian consumers.Interiors The Chevrolet Enjoy speaks Chinese language, so be assured that it has a decent interior space. The interiors may also remind you that of Tavera. The beige coloured upholstery for the seats offers a sophisticated and classy ambiance. The vehicle comes with a two-tone car-like dash, with the dials and vents reminiscent of the Chevrolet Aveo. The seats are flexible and great amount of comfort. There is chrome inserts on the steering, dash and other places. The design of the instrumental panel and centre console is reminiscent of Tavera. The top-end variants will get features like music player with USB and bluetooth, steering mounted audio controls, A/C ducts for second row, ABS-EBD and two airbags. The new MPV also comes with 2 trip meters, central locking system, a tachometer, electric ORVMs and cup holders. There is also ample amount of luggage storage space that can adjust a lot of suitcases to make your long road trips hassle-free. The Enjoy has a turning radius of is 10.76 meters. This car comes with electric controlled windows on the front and rear side that can be opened or closed by operating a switch provided next to the driver seat.The MPV is equipped with automatic weather control that lets the passengers to know the external climatic conditions and facilitates them to continue or stop their journey as per the prevailing weather conditions. Chevrolet Enjoy engine and performanceChevrolet Enjoy will be available in both petrol and diesel. The diesel model will be powered by a 1.3 litre engine sourced from Fiat. It will generate maximum power of 76 bhp at 4000 rpm with maximum torque of 188 nm at 1750 rpm. Similarly, the petrol variant of Enjoy is powered by a 1.4 litre engine that is present in Chevrolet Aveo already. This 1399cc delivers 94.6bhp of maximum output at the rate of 6200 rpm and 127Nm of maximum torque at the rate of 3400 rpm. Both engines will be mated to a five-speed manual transmission.The engine is coupled to the VGIS technology specific to Chevy cars.Acceleration and pick-upThe 1.4L petrol power train is expected to race from 0-100 kph in almost 14 seconds. Moreover the top speed marked by Chevrolet Enjoy version will be just about 175 kmph. Similarly, diesel variant will pounce upon the 100 kph barrier from being stationed in just 15 seconds together with approx top speed of 160 kmph. On the other hand, the Chevrolet Enjoy diesel, will give you an approx mileage of 17 kmpl in city drives and nearly 21 kmpl on highways.Braking, handling and SafetyThe brake system comprises of disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. This is further enhanced by the presence of the Anti-Lock Braking System, Electronic Brake Force Distribution System and Brake Assist, all of which stop the wheels from locking up whenever immediate brakes are applied. The suspension system is also smooth and the company is giving a double wishbone and coil spring with stabiliser suspension is used in Chevrolet Enjoy that makes the handling easy and butter smooth.In addition, the MPV comes with central locking system, power door locks, door ajar warning, and rear defogger, fog lamps, halogen headlamps, rear wash and wipe wipers, high mounted stop lamp and so on.The vehicle is equipped with double airbags. All the seats are provided with individual seat belts with load limiters, automatic braking system and tubeless tires.Chevrolet Enjoy accessoriesThe company says the MPV enjoys some real urban stuffing to make your MPV distinct in the crowd. The features include foot mats, mud splash flaps, roof rails, tail light chrome, car cover along with elegant looking set covers and trendy steering wheel covers. Some handy garnishing can be roof rack/carrier for extra luggage, power window mechanism for base models, side steps and advanced GPS Navigation Device. On the entertainment offering it can be 2Din Audio system with Multimedia along with extra speakers, woofers and head rest LCD screens. PricingGM will target both passenger and taxi market with the MPV. The petrol variant will start from Rs 5.5 lakh while the diesel top-end on the other hand is expected to cost around Rs 8.5 lakh.ColorsThe users will have an option to choose the best fit color and features according to their tastes. This multipurpose vehicle comes with dual colors such that interior and the exterior of the car are provided with different eye-catching colors. The Chevrolet Enjoy will be available in seven colors that include, Glacier White, Cashew brown, Navy Blue, Mineral blue, Platinum, Basalt Gray and Pearl Blue.
