New Delhi: Google co-founder Sergey Brin has split up with his wife Anne Wojcicki and has reportedly begun a relationship with one of his employees Amanda Rosenberg, the 26-year-old marketing manager for the company's web-connected spectacles, Google Glass.The news of the split rocked the Silicon Valley when a spokesman for the pair told technology blog AllthingsD that they were no longer living together, although they remain "good friends and partners".The blog also said that Brin is currently "romantically involved with a Google employee".As per the Californian law, on divorce the couple's massive fortune would have to be halved – although they reportedly signed a strict pre-nuptial agreement.Ms Rosenberg is a British woman who left London in search of fame with Google. The 27-year-old boarded at the £31,000-a-year Marlborough College with Princess Beatrice and Kate and Pippa Middleton, the Mail Online revealed.She graduated with a communications degree from Leeds University and at the beginning worked for the internet giant in London before moving to San Francisco to work at its Silicon Valley nerve centre last year.Reports suggest that she soon got a role promoting Google Glass, the glasses which enable users to film and broadcast over the internet everything they see non-stop.Although Brin's relationship with Rosenberg emerged recently, the pair were seen earlier at a New York Fashion Week event, both wearing the controversial Google Glass computerised spectacles for which she is marketing manager.Soon after arriving in California, Ms Rosenberg wrote in a blog describing herself as a ‘misanthropic Brit struggling to come to terms with Californian optimism'. She wrote: “Luckily for me this all worked out like I dreamed it would...NOT. Of course it didn't work out like that!”In an internet profile Miss Rosenberg wrote of herself: ‘I'm part of the master race that is the Chinese Jew or Chew, if you will.'Born in Hong Kong but bred in the UK. A misanthrope who's bad at maths, so I got the worst of both worlds.'Rosenberg's LinkedIn profile says her title is "marketing manager" for Google Glass. Previously, she was an account manager, then managed mobile business development, then did marketing for Google+.Rosenberg is very active on Google+ where she likes to post selfies, photos of billboards, and advertising she thinks is interesting, as well as sandcastles and other random funny stuff that gets passed around through Reddit and Buzzfeed.“Romantic relationships between co-workers can, depending on the work roles and respective positions of the co-workers involved, create an actual or apparent conflict of interest,” according to the Google conduct code posted online.“If a romantic relationship does create an actual or apparent conflict, it may require changes to work arrangements or even the termination of employment of either or both individuals involved.”“When faced with a potential conflict of interest, ask yourself: would this activity harm my reputation, negatively impact my ability to do my job at Google or potentially harm Google?” the code suggests. “Would this activity embarrass Google or me if it showed up on the front page of a newspaper or a blog?”“If the answer to any of these questions is ‘yes', the relationship or situation is likely to create a conflict of interest and you should avoid it.”
