New Delhi, April 17: Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest two wheeler manufacturer for 12 years in a row, has become the first company in India to offer five year warranty across all its products ((5 years/70,000 kms on motorcycles and 5 years/50,000 km on scooters).
At the same time, the company has also launched a new special edition of Splendor Pro called Gold Edition, which marks the 20th anniversary of Splendor. The Gold Edition gets the "Special Edition" sticker over the headlight and on the sides. The bike is also available in a new Gold colour. The special edition of the world's largest selling motorcycle brand is available for Rs 49,000, which is a premium around of Rs 1000 over a regular Splendor Plus.

Launched in the year 1993 under the Hero Honda brand name, Hero's iconic motorcycle, the 97.2cc Splendor went on to become the motorcycle which propelled Hero to its number one position in India. In 2009, Splendor models were selling at a rate of one million per year. Splendor's engine delivers 7.8 PS@7500 rpm of torque with 8.04 Nm@4500 rpm of torque.
