According to Patil, Mahindra found the name original he gave to the vehicle because the features of the vehicle correlated with Komodo (as the dragon). The whole concept behind the name came during the research of the brand. Mahindra has always being christening the vehicles name ending with an 'O' and for this reason comes the name Komodo, says Patil.
