New Delhi: Here is a list of the week's top smartphone launches:HTC One (M8)HTC one (M8) is a premium phone sporting an all-aluminium look. It has been priced at Rs 49,900 and will be available starting May 7. The device offers a 5-inch IPS LCD full-HD display (1080 x 1920p, 441ppi) with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and 2GB RAM. The phone will be available in 16GB and 32GB internal storage variants with a microSD card slot that supports cards of up to 128GB capacity. HTC will also offer 65GB of cloud storage space on Google Drive. The smartphone runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the latest iteration of the mobile OS with HTC's Sense 6.0 UI on top. It includes on-screen buttons for navigation and a new version of BlinkFeed. The phone's main highlight is its new UltraPixel Duo camera at the back. HTC claims that it captures 300 per cent more light and the second camera lens helps in detecting and separating backgrounds and foregrounds. The feature lets users to refocus on an object after shooting a picture, similar to Nokia's Refocus app which is available on high-end Lumia phones. HTC One (M8) features an iPhone 5S like dual-colour LED flash to balance light. The front of the device sports a 5MP sensor with f2.0 wide angle lens for taking selfies. It also includes a timer switch and touchup feature for enhanced selfies. HTC One (M8) comes with front-facing dual stereo speakers and amplifier. The device gets its juice from a non-removable 2,600mAh battery which the company claims charges 40 per cent faster. It also offers an extreme power saving mode with which the phone offers two weeks of standby time and 30 hours of talktime. Interesting features include double tap to lock and unlock the phone, slide to right to unlock to BlinkFeed, and slide to left to unlock to the homescreen.Sony Xperia M2 DualSony has launched its mid-range Xperia M2 Dual smartphone in India at Rs 21,990. It is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device that comes with a 4.8-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor (MSM8226) coupled with an Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM.It offers 8GB of built-in storage, and offers support for microSD card with up to 32GB capacity. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options include 3G (HSPA+), GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, Wi-Fi, DLNA, and Micro-USB.It packs a 2300mAh battery that is rated to deliver talk time up to 14 hours, standby time up to 693 hours.HTC Desire 210 dual-SIMHTC Desire 210 is a dual-sim (GSM+GSM) smartphone that comes with a 4-inch WVGA (480x800p) display. A 1GHz MediaTek MT6572 dual-core processor powers the phone along with 512MB RAM. The device runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with company's Sense UI on top.It comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera, along with a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The device offers 4GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, EDGE/GPRS and 3G. The phone is backed by a 1300mAh battery. Desire 210 will be available by the end of April at a price of Rs 8,700.HTC Desire 816HTC Desire 816 is a dual-sim (EVDO/GSM+GSM) device sporting a 5.5-inch screen offering a 720 X 1280p resolution. It is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, and has 1.5GB RAM. It comes with 8GB internal storage expandable through a microSD card. On the imaging front, the device comes with a 13MP, f/2.2 rear camera that can capture 1080p video and a 5MP front facing camera. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and GPS. It is backed by a 2,600mAh battery and comes with a nano-sim slot. The phone will be available starting May. HTC Desire 816 has been priced at Rs 23,990.LG L65 DualLG L65 Dual is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone that features a 4.3-inch IPS LCD display with a WVGA (480x800 pixels) resolution and a pixel density of 217ppi. The smartphone packs a similar 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor and 1GB of RAM as seen on LG L70 Dual. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.It comes with a primary 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera and a secondary 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The device offers 4GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/AGPS, EDGE/GPRS, micro-USB and 3G.
