New Delhi: The organisers of Auto Expo 2016 had recently said that the 13th edition from February 5 to 9, 2016 is poised to be the biggest automobile carnival in India till now. 

Well, we somehow agree. The Auto Expo 2016's Motor Show will be organised in Greater Noida and is likely to attract over 6 lakh visitors over 5 days. While the first two days are open to media, the expo will be thrown open to the public from February 5-9. 

Let us take you through prominent players in the automobile industry in India and what do we expect from them.

Maruti Suzuki

Maruti Suzuki will showcase the Vitara Brezza at this year's event. The car will make use of a 1.3-litre MJD diesel engine, which can also be seen on the sedan class Ciaz. The 90PS of power and 200Nm of torque is good for a city drive. Bold and stylish looking Vitara Brezza will take on Mahindra's TUV300 and Ford's EcoSport car segment.

Hyundai
Hyundai will focus on Tuscon. The SUV promises to have a larger cabin space and many safety features like emergency braking system, lane keep assist system, blind spot detection and speed limit information function. The Tuscon will be built in a Fluidic design like the Verna. SUV is likely to be powered by a 2.0 litre diesel engine with 180bhp and 400Nm of torque.

Tata Motors
Tata will showcase the Zica hatchback. This vehicle will come with a new petrol and diesel engines. The 1.05-litre Revotorq, 3-cylinder diesel will dish out 70Ps at 4000 rpm while the 1.2-litre Revotron, 3-cylinder petrol will put out 85Ps at 6000 rpm. Airbags, 8 speaker system are some of the highlights of this hatchback.

Toyota
Modified and upgraded Innova, Toyota's Indian car, will be the highlight for the manufacturer at the Auto Expo. An all-new 2.4-litre GD series diesel engine will make its way into the 2016 Innova. New lighting and an eight-inch entertainment system will also be a part of this more Indian- SUV.

Mercedes 
The 2016 S-Class Cabriolet will make its debut in India at this year's Auto Expo. Mercedes new S Class will be powered by a 4.7-litre turbocharged V8 motor capable of dishing out a 455 bhp and 700nm of torque. The car is expected to perform almost as good as it looks.

Nissan
Japanese manufacturer Nissan Motors will showcase the limited edition Terrano and Micra at the Auto Expo 2016. New sports versions of Sunny will also be put up on display. New engines are expected in the sports version of the cars. However, no confirmation has been given yet.

Renault
French automobile giant Renault is likely to bring the facelifted new Duster at the Auto Expo 2016. A new, single-piece grill is likely to be the catch of the car along with new features like automatic gear box, new infotainment system among others. 

Honda
Honda BR-V will be showcased at the Auto Expo 2016. The BR-V is the third product after Amaze and Mobilio that has been developed by Honda Asia Pacific R&D team. The compact SUV will be offered with a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine.

Volkswagen
Volkswagen will showcase the Ameo sub-4 metre sedan at its Auto Expo pavilion. The Ameo will be available with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder MPI petrol and a new 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder TDI diesel engine options. Transmission will be a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed DSG transmission will also be on offer.
