She is the daughter of T. Venkattaram Reddy, the owner of Deccan Chronicle. Gayatri has a bent for writing on travel, fashion, sports and cuisine besides doing celebrity interviews. Reddy was heavily involved with the erstwhile team Deccan Chargers in terms of building the team and picking the players in line with her strategy.
