New Delhi: Google Marshmallow, the Android mobile operating system, has finally reached a 10 percent adoption rate, eight months after its release.
The growth of Android Marshmallow was a milestone, which was the fastest-growing version of Android that increased by 2.6 percentage since May.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow has had higher adoption rate than any of its previous versions, which has been possible due to the new devices that has been shipped out with this latest version.
Adding on to this, Marshmallow's share has turned more than doubled since April when only 4.6 percent of Android users were running the latest version.

However there are still less number of Marshmallow devices that connect to Google Play than the devices who are running the four generations old Jelly Bean, which has an 18.9 percent share.
This is a quicker adoption, but as Android N isn’t far away, it will be difficult for Google to maintain the growth speed.
According to the Google Play distribution data, Lollipop dominates, followed by KitKat and JellyBean. Froyo and Gingerbread still run on 1 percent and 2 percent devices respectively. In the meantime, Android N, is available as developer preview with a host of new features.
