Panchak July 2022: According to astrology there are several planetary movements that result in some peculiar changes in the life of the people. Sometimes these changes are positive and sometimes negative. It is believed that people should be extra careful during some special days which are of astrological importance. There are a set of rules to be followed and things that should be avoided during this time. As per Hindu calendar, there are 5 days in every month which are known as Panchak– Mrityu Panchak, Rog Panchak, Raj Panchak, Chor Panchak and Agni Panchak. It is said that any auspicious work should not be done during these five days especially during Mrityu Panchak. It is considered the most dangerous because if someone dies during the period of Mrityu Panchak in a family, then it is believed that five people of that family die.

Dos and don'ts for Mrityu Panchak
As mentioned above, Mrityu Panchak is a very critical time when people should be very careful. They should look after their health and pay extra attention to the older or the sick people in their family. If a person does during Panchak it is considered very inauspicious because there is a possibility of great loss of life in the family or relatives.
- If someone dies during this time, their last rites are performed only after seeking the advice of the priest. During this period there is a possibility of five deaths in the family. That's why priests perform last rites in different manners to protect other family members.
- No marriage takes place during Panchak.
- During Panchak, wood or wood-related items are not bought.
- Traveling in the south direction during Panchak is considered inauspicious as it is the direction of Lord Yamraj (God of death).
- Don't build or renovate the roof of your house during Panchak.
- People should perform hawan dedicated to Goddess Gayatri before purchasing wood.
- People should distribute sweets among workers before starting construction work.
- If you have to travel to the south direction under some circumstances then offer fruits to Lord Hanuman before starting your journey.
