BCCI announces change in IPL 2026 schedule for GT vs CSK fixtures, Know new dates
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced a small change in the schedule of IPL 2026 for the GT vs CSK clash this month. The teams are set to face each other twice this season and the match dates have been swapped. Know new dates here

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a change in the schedule of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The dates for the Gujarat Titans vs Chennai Super Kings fixtures have been swapped. As per the original schedule, GT and CSK were set to face each other on April 26 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. But the clash will now be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Accordingly, the reverse fixture between the two teams, on May 21, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad at 7:30 PM IST. The April 26 clash will be an afternoon fixture, starting at 3:30 PM IST. The reason for the change is the elections in Ahmedabad later this month. "The change has been necessitated in view of the municipal corporation elections in Ahmedabad and other parts of Gujarat scheduled on April 26, 2026," the statement from the BCCI media release read.
GT, CSK start slowly in IPL 2026
Both GT and CSK lost their first two matches of IPL 2026. However, the Titans have got their act together since then, winning the next two matches, beating the Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants. For the unversed, they had lost to Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals, the current top two in the points table, in the first two matches. GT are in fifth place right now with two wins and as many losses and have four points to show for efforts.
As for CSK, they went down meekly to the Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. However, they won their previous game against the Delhi Capitals comfortably and will be looking to continue their winning momentum in the upcoming matches.
