Rihanna’s Mumbai looks: Chartreuse elegance by day, black glamour by night, styled with Manish Malhotra jewels

Rihanna turned heads in Mumbai at the India launch of her beauty brand, showcasing two distinct looks. From a chartreuse Mugler outfit with Indian jewellery to a bold Alaïa dress at the after-party, her style shift stood out.

New Delhi:

Rihanna showed up in Mumbai and the tone shifted a bit. It was for the India launch of her beauty brand. But it did not feel like a standard brand event. It felt styled. Intentional. Two looks. Two moods.

She did not stick to one outfit for the evening. There was a clear switch. Day to night. Soft to sharp. And both worked, just in different ways.

Rihanna’s day look: Chartreuse tones with an Indian touch

For the launch event, Rihanna went with a chartreuse look. Not subtle. But still controlled. The outfit included a flowing mock-neck, long-sleeved top paired with a flared, ankle-length leather skirt. Both pieces are from Mugler, specifically from Miguel Castro Freitas’ Fall 2026 collection.

What stood out more was the styling. She added a clear Indian element with a haathphool from Manish Malhotra. White gold. Uncut diamonds. Not overdone, but noticeable. Along with that, stacked bangles and diamond earrings completed the jewellery.

Makeup stayed bold. Smoky eyes, bright red lipstick, contoured cheeks, and a strong highlight. Her hair was left open, side-parted, falling naturally over her shoulders. Clean finish.

Rihanna’s after-party look: Black, sharp and more dramatic

For the after-party, she shifted completely. Different energy. Different silhouette.

She wore a custom look by Alaïa. A fit-and-flare jersey dress with a turtle neckline and full sleeves. The detailing came through V-shaped crocodile leather cut-outs, inspired by Pieter Mulier’s Summer–Fall 2026 collection.

Jewellery was heavier this time. More visible. Multiple diamond rings, statement ear cuffs, and again, a haathphool by Manish Malhotra, this time more diamond-heavy.

Makeup shifted too. A terracotta smoky eye with a glossy, 90s-style lip. Warmer tones. Slightly softer blending. Hair was styled into a sleek side-parted updo with a polished fringe and some volume. More structured than the earlier look.

Two appearances. Same night. Different direction each time. It worked because the switch felt deliberate. Not random.
