New Delhi, Mar 16: India TV has telecast a CCTV footage of two families openly fighting on the road, with ruffians beating up women, even as a Delhi Police PCR Gypsy vehicle alongwith policemen escape from the spot.
The fracas took place on Thursday at around 9:40 am. The issue: a dispute over temple property. The scene: Karawal Nagar in North-East Delhi.
Subhash Chander claims to own a temple, while Om Singh Malik also staked his claim on the same temple property. Even as the dispute was pending, Om Singh Malik appointed a chowkidar at the temple, and this provoked a quarrel between the two families.
Subhash Chander called 100 and a Police PCR Gypsy came. Subhash and Om Singh began to quarrel in front of the policemen.
Soon, Subhash went inside his home and called out his wife, daughter and relatives. Om Singh goes and bring his own men, and then ensues a fight with sticks and fisticuffs.
The CCTV footage clearly shows ruffians beating up Subhash Chander's wife and daughter, even as the PCR van moves out along with the policemen from the spot.
Nearly a dozen people were involved in the fight, out of which seven of them were injured.
