It’s been a while since it was reported that television actor Arjit Taneja aka Purab from ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ has left the show to participate in the ‘Bigg Boss 10’.
And now there is a buzz that Rohan Mehra, who plays the role of Naksh in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, is also quitting his show for the same reason.
Rohan, as the media reports, is keen to participate in Bigg Boss 10 which will be hosted by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
The actor has become a household name because of the show. However, he wants to come up with a different avatar on BB10. Looks like the Bigg Boss makers are looking forward to rope in young television actors for the show, which is in turn making the celebs quit their leading daily soaps.
If the industry reports are to be believed, Rohan has already informed the production house about his decision and the makers are now looking for his replacement.
On the other hand, it is also being speculated that the reason behind his exit could be the stagnation of his character. Mehra was hardly seen on the screen lately, as the makers had shifted their focus to Naira (played by Shivangi Joshi) and Kartik’s (played by Mohsin Khan) love story.
Apparently, the makers were supposed to show Rohan’s wedding with Tara (played by Umang Jain) early this year. However, the plan was changed as the female lead Hina Khan, who plays the role of Akshara had issue playing the role of a mother-in-law onscreen.
Interestingly, this is not the first time that an actor’s exit is being associated with Hina’s tantrums. Earlier, Karan Mehra, who was popularly known as Naitik on the show, too has reportedly walked out of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ because of Hina’s mood swings.
While no official announcement has been made in this regard so far neither by Rohan nor by the makers, but reports are rife that he will be one of the contestants of Bigg Boss 10.
BB10 will be the first season in the history of the show, to have four commoners staying with the six celebs inside the Bigg Boss house. In fact, the first contestant has also been finalised as Gaurav Verma.
To be aired on Colors channel, Bigg Boss 10 will be launched on October 16.
