Celebrities voice support for soldiers after BSF jawan’s video highlighting plight goes viral

Bollywood celebrities have come forward to raise their voice against the situation of our soldiers after a video posted by a Border Security Force jawan highlighting their plight took social media by storm.

BSF jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav deployed in Jammu and Kashmir shared some videos of the horrible food that was allegedly being offered to them and shocked the whole nation. The soldier alleged that higher authorities sell essentials provided to them by the government.

Many prominent faces from all walks of life have demanded quick action on the issue.

Actor Riteish Deshmukh believed that the soldier raised his voice on behalf of many BSF jawans. He tweeted, “This is incredibly shocking...Our army is our pride...this jawan is definitely voicing for many am sure. #Salute him for standing up.”

Like rest of the country ‘Sarabjit’ actor Randeep Hooda was also left shocked and requested people to spread the video. He tweeted, “"Is this really true? Heartbroken !! What can be done about it? Pls Spread like wildfire" #BSF.”

Actress Sawara Bhaskar said, “@BSF_India it's of no relevance whether jawan is alcoholic or not The quality of food is on camera 4 ever1 to see. Do not deflect! @PMOIndia.”

Cricketer stars Harbhajan Singh and Virendra Sehwag also shared their views on micro blogging site Twitter.

Harbhajan tweeted, “Hi plz share this as much as u can if you love ur jawans who r protecting us.”

Virendra Sehwag who is known for speaking his mind on Twitter, also made a serious appeal for proper food to be provided to soldiers.

Sehwag wrote, “Whatever said and done, our Soldiers and Farmers need to be taken better care of. Proper food needs to reach them all. #Food4Soldiers.”

As the furore intensified, a senior BSF official questioned Tej Bahadur Yadav’s intentions raking up his past, saying he was an alcoholic and was to be court-martialed in 2010.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh has asked for a detailed report and ordered a probe into the issue.
