The Gujarat High Court has sought a detailed report from the state government on the investigation into the Surat fire tragedy that claimed lives of 22 students of a coaching institute last month.
Most of the students who were killed in the fire were aged between 14 and 17. Some were expecting their Class 12 results on Saturday.
While people were busy recording videos of the tragic Surat fire incident, Young Ketan Chorwadia risked his own life to save the lives of many innocent children.
Many died due to injuries sustained after jumping off windows to escape the fire. According to eyewitnesses, at least 10 students had jumped out to save themselves from the blaze.
As many as 13 students of them were girls and three boys, while four others who were charred beyond recognition were yet to be identified. Four of them died during treatment at a private hospital.
