The 19 year old bowler had a dream opening to his ODI career and he became only the tenth bowler in the history of ODI cricket to capture five wickets on debut. He also became the second Bangladeshi bowler after Taskin Ahmed who also took five wickets in his ODI debut against the same opponents India.

 

Indian batsmen have always found it hard to play against the left arm swing bowlers because of the angle produced by these bowlers.

In the 1970s, it was John Lever from England, then came the Australian speedster Bruce Reid in the 1980s followed by the Pakistani left arm pace duo of Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis and more recently the Australian Duo of Mitchell Starc and Mitchell JohnSon.
