IND vs BAN, 1st Test, Day 2, STUMPS: Bangladesh 133/8; trail by 271 runs

Its stumps on the second day of this Test match. India are bossing the contest and have a big lead of 271 runs. Meanwhile, Bangladesh have completely lost any momentum it had on the first day. The home team is reeling down at 133/8 and have a big task to even avoid the follow-on. For India, Iyer got out early and could not get to his hundred. It looked like Bangladesh will apply breaks to the Indian batting but Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav combined to take India across the 400-run mark. In the bowling, the Men in Blue kept scalping wickets as a few balls bounced less, while some dismissals were gifted by the home side. India have a great chance to wrap this up quickly and start the series on a high note. This was it for the second day. I Varun Malik sign off, see you tomorrow.

And BAN are 8 down. Kuldeep has bowled Taijul. 

Kuldeep Yadav gets another wicket and Bangladesh are seven down. This innings look to get over soon. Kuldeep has his three wickets.

Kuldeep Yadav gets wicket on his second ball of the match and its Shakib Al hasan, who has to walk back. This was a flighted ball and Shakib came out of the crease to avoid the turn. But a thick edge Kohli takes the cath at slips.

Siraj gets another wicket. Bangladesh are tumbling down and a follow-on threat looms large. Siraj bowled from round the wicket and this ball was hit on good length angling in to the left hander. Zakir pokes at it and a faint edge carries to Pant. BAN 4 down

Siraj gets another wicket and BAN are three down. A quick ball angling in and stayed a bit low as Das did not pick the bounce right. Siraj gets his man and IND on top.

So with 34 overs to go in the day's play, we are back in action for the final session of Day 2 in the first session as Ravi Ashwin has the cherry in the hand

The Indian team will be the happier of two after they go into the tea with their noses in front. India have scalped two wickets and will look to dominate in the final session. 

Umesh Yadav strikes and BAN are two down for 5 runs. This was pitched a bit short outside off side and Yasir Ali probably expected it to bounce more. His hands did not come down and he also played the wrong line. The ball kisses the inside part of the bat and disturbs the stumps. IND on top.

Mohammed Siraj has struck on the first ball of the innings. He gets Shanto on this beautiful ball. This pitched outside off on a good length and holds itself a little bit. Shanto pokes it and grabs a good diving catch to his left. Great start for India.

The final wicket falls and India finish on 404/10. A brilliant effort by the Men in Blue. They would be happy to get here after once being at 112/4. Shreyas Iyer, Cheteshwar Pujara and Shreyas Iyer starred for India on the first day, while Ravi Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav added pain to the opposition on the second day. The pitch is good for the batters, while there is assistance for the spin bowlers. India would look to bowl Bangladesh out quickly.

Umesh Yadav has swung another one and has cleared the fence once again. India cross 400-run mark.

And a gritty knock from Kuldeep Yadav comes to an end. He has been trapped in front of the wickets by Taijul. Yadav wanted to review this but unless there was some bat, it was all gone. And, it turned out to be no and three red lights as Yadav walks back for a 40-run knock. Time for drinks.

And Umesh Yadav has gone aerial and has hit a second-ball six. He can swing and the pitch will keep tempting him to play a more of these. Flighted ball, and Yadav swung the bat to clear the fence over mid-wicket

BAN get wicket of Ashwin. He came down the track as Mehidy pulled his length back to beat the Indian batter. Wicketkeeper stumped Ashwin after a few seconds of wait. Umesh comes in.

Kuldeep Yadav has survived a an LBW review against Taijul. It was given not out and it comes out at umpires call on impact and wickets hitting.

Welcome back. The second session has been started as the unbeaten pair of Kuldeep Yadav and Ravi Ashwin have made their way in the middle. How far can they take India. Is 400 within sights? Lets watch.
