Lucknow: The "Swachh Bharat Mission" has found a proponent in Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav's younger daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav who has lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking forward the ideals of Mahatama Gandhi.
"Swachh Bharat Mission is a good thing... He (Narendra Modi) is taking forward Gandhiji's ideals and emerging as a good role model. But at the social level we need a module, a backup system to make this campaign a success," Aparna said at a seminar here.
"Just by projecting a good image, we cannot urge the people to follow... We should have a system or plan like enhancing the number of employees and workers involved in cleaning work or develop a system like the one adopted by the western countries for garbage disposal... This would in turn generate more employment," she said.
