The announcement was made following a meeting between Kejriwal and representatives of employees' unions of the North, East and South Municipal Corporations of Delhi (MCD) -- under the banner of Joint Front of MCD Unions -- here Monday.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was also present in the meeting.

Kejriwal informed the delegation that the Delhi government has paid its part of the amount to the corporations and the central government was yet to pay Rs.600 crore to the civic corporations.

"We have given all the money we were supposed to. In fact, we gave more than we were supposed to," Kejriwal said.
