Noted lawyer and BJP candidate Ram Jethmalani and Union Commerce Minister Anand Sharma are among the four official candidates who on Thursday won the Rajya Sabha election from Rajasthan in which a Congress-supported Independent nominee has lost.
The result in the election is yet to be formally declared but party sources said the vote count shows that the four official candidates have won. Former Union Minister Santosh Bagrodia, who was supported by the Congress as an Independent, was defeated in the closely-fought election.
