Nowadays Priyanka Gandhi takes her husband's name less & my name more: Smriti Irani takes jibe at Congress general secretary

Smriti Irani also alleged that Congress president Rahul Gandhi is ensuring booth capturing in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh. Smriti Irani is again taking on Rahul Gandhi. She is one of the key candidates during the 5th phase of voting today.

Smriti Irani, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Amethi, on Monday, took a jibe at Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and said, “Nowadays she takes her husband's name less and my name more”.

“She did not know my name five years back, now she keeps taking my name, such an accomplishment. Nowadays she takes her husband's name less and my name more,” ANI quoted Smriti Irani, as saying.

Union minister also attacked Congress president Rahul Gandhi.

“A person died as he was denied treatment at the hospital where Rahul Gandhi is trustee, in Amethi just because he had Ayushman Bharat card,” she alleged.

She also alleged that Congress president is ensuring booth capturing.

Smriti Irani is again taking on Rahul Gandhi in Amethi. She is one of the key candidates during the 5th phase of voting today.

To constitute the 17th Lok Sabha, the general election is currently being held in seven phases from 11 April to 19 May 2019. On 23 May, the counting of votes will be conducted and on the same day the results will be declared.

With the general election, Legislative Assembly elections in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim are being held simultaneously.
