The Aztecs Inhabitants of central Mexico, this civilization survived from 14th-16th century. They had a bizarre belief that after every 52 years, the world would end unless the Gods are strong enough.So, human sacrifice was the only remedy to revive the power of God according to them. They even became cannibals to save the world.About 20,000 people were killed yearly towards keeping their Sun god happy.They would even toss the bodies of the dead in fire, kill the children and make them cry thinking that tears of children would induce rain.2.
