On Day 35 of the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, tensions remain high with major developments unfolding across military, political, and humanitarian fronts. In a big move, US Army Chief General Randy George has been asked to step down and take immediate retirement by Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth. So far, more than 2,000 people have been killed and over 26,000 injured in US-Israeli strikes across Iran since late February. At the same time, missile attacks are continuing. Israel has detected another missile launched from Yemen, the fourth such incident since the war began while also reporting fresh missiles fired from Iran, with air defence systems actively intercepting them. The US says it is continuing its “maximum pressure” strategy against Iran, including sanctions and action against allied groups. At the same time, officials have repeated that diplomacy is still an option, even as strong warnings remain in place over Iran’s nuclear programme.
On the ground in Iran, the situation is becoming more serious. Medical needs are rising quickly, and there are fears that emergency supplies could run out if the fighting continues. Iran has also said that more than 600 schools and educational centres have been damaged in the attacks.
Meanwhile, in the middle of rising tensions and online claims, the government of Dubai has rejected reports that an Iranian unit targeted a data centre of Oracle, calling the claims completely false and urging people not to spread rumours.
