Jammu, Jul 15: PDP president Mehbooba Mufti yesterday asked people to repose faith in her party as it was emerging as a strong alternative to the ruling National Conference (NC) in Jammu and Kashmir.
"PDP was emerging as a strong regional force representing true aspirations of the all regions and sub-regions of the state," Mehbooba said while addressing a public meeting at Ranjan Jandial area of Nagrota assembly segment here.
Being the biggest regional force of Jammu and Kashmir there is a decisive role ahead for the party in charting out a new destiny for the state and its people, she said.
"Only PDP has potential to provide credible alternative to NC because this party during its tenure in the government and as well as in opposition has proved how to address aspirations of the people,” Mehbooba said.
"Neither Congress nor BJP has the potential to emerge as an alternative to NC," she said, adding "I assure the people that PDP would safeguard their aspirations and concerns."
