Know the compounder from Rajasthan who made Rs 200 crore in 9 years in nursing college scam

Jaipur, July 5 : The sleuths of Rajasthan police's Anti-Corruption bureau could not believe their eyes when they opened the bank lockers of Mahesh Chand Sharma, a man who started his career as a Grade

Sources said, Sharma had close links with Indian Nursing Council chairman T. Dilip Kumar, because of which he used to take 'contracts' for renewing no-objection certificates for nursing colleges in Rajasthan.



Meanwhile, the ACB which took Sharma on five days remand, took him to State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur C-Scheme branch, where Rs 17 lakhs worth jewellery was seized, said Sanjeev Kumar, Additional SP, ACB, Jaipur.

Mahesh Sharma says the jewellery belongs to a trust, and he is not the owner.

Sharma has stakes in nearly 25 nursing colleges, including Suryansh School of Nursing, Jaipur, Saket College of Nursing, Padamshree School of Nursing, Pooja School of Nursing, Star College of Nursing, Aadi college of nursing, Mewar college of nursing, Rami Devi College of Nursing, Irshad School of Nursing, Pink City School and College of Nursing.


Ajit Singh Shekhawat, Additional Director General of Police, ACB, Jaipur, said, it's astounding how a man who was a mere compounder several years ago, became the Adviser Nursing in the health departnment.
