7 children succumb to encephalitis in east UP
Gorakhpur: Seven more children succumbed to encephalitis pushing the death count from the viral disease to 435 this year in eastern region of Uttar Pradesh, health officials said yesterday.The children died in BRD Medical College
Twenty-three persons with symtoms of encephalitis were admitted to BRD-MCH yesterday, they said.
Since January this year, 2120 encephalitis patients, of whom 435 succumbed to the brain-inflammation, were admitted to the hospitals, the officials said.
The dead included 49 from Bihar and one from Nepal.
