4. Start noticing others
They are used to you being ignoring other people when you both are together, so now start noticing them. Tell him how the guy/girl is dressed up and how people are behaving & all and they'll know that you not giving any attention to them.
And to top it all start be-friending random people you meet to make them feel how much you are open to others.
