Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been in the limelight for the longest time regarding the controversy related to the leading actress Disha Vakani who played Dayaben.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been in the limelight for the longest time regarding the controversy related to the leading actress Disha Vakani, The actress who played the much-loved character of Dayaben in the show, left it stating creative differences. While the makers have made many attempts to bring her back since the audience love her, the actress refused. Now, the latest reports suggest that now when producer Asit Modi is looking for new Dayaben, Disha Vakani has mended her terms to come back.

Going by the latest reports in Spotboye, it is said that Disha Vakani initially didn’t think that the makers will replace her but now, when it is happening, she has bowed down to her terms and conditions to return on the show. The actress left the show in 2017 after she was blessed with her baby. Earlier reports suggested that it was Disha’s husband who introduced a set of new conditions that he wanted the makers to kneel to.  He asked for the actress to be paid more and even allotted hours that she can dedicate to the show. But now, the rumours suggest that Disha and her husband are afraid that the makers will replace her which is why she has opened the door of talks with Neela Telefilms, Modi's production house.

Asit Modi, producer of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma is currently in London holidaying with his kids but the report suggests that he will look into the matter when he is back around May 18/19. Recently, there were rumours that television actress Ami Trivedi was all set to step into the shoes of Disha Vakani and play the new Dayaben. However, she refuted the rumours soon after they popped on the internet.

"No, I have not been approached, but my friends have been telling me that I should take up the role and would suit the character. I have not been offered the role, nor the makers have tried to reach me out," she was quoted as saying to Times of India.
