Happy Mahashivratri 2019: Dhanush, Mahesh Babu, Soundarya Rajinikanth extend warm wishes to fans

Today it is Mahashivratri and everyone is celebrating the mystical Lord Shiva. He is the ultimate yogi, the master of all arts, a passionate lover and a God without bias. Lord Shiva is that enigma that constantly amazes us. From childhood, we have heard stories of how he threatened destruction after Sati's death, swallowed poison to save the world and even gave boons to the asuras. On the special occasion, several known faces from the South Indian film industry took to Twitter to extend warm Mahashivatri messages to fans.

Maha Shivratri is celebrated as the day when Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got married and is also called the "destroyer of evil". Well, the celebrities not only wished their fans but also prayed for blessings from the Almighty.

The gorgeous Raashi Khan tweeted, “May the Lord shower his eternal blessings on you and your loved ones. #Mahashivratri wishes to all of you.” 

Mahesh Babu also tweeted, “Wishing you and your family a happy #Mahashivratri!! May the blessings & supreme energy of Lord Shiva be with all of you, guide you throughout. Om Namah Shivay.”

Mahashivatri, the Hindu festival is widely being celebrated across the country to worship Lord Shiv.
