Shraddha kapoor and Rajkummar rao on Stree poster
Looks like Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao are ready to give us the scariest movie of the year. After teasing the fans with the teaser and motion poster, the national-award-winning actor, Rajkummar Rao, took to Twitter to share the first look poster of his upcoming film with Shraddha Kapoor, Stree.
Rao wrote, “#Stree se bachne ke liye hum taiyaar hokar aa rahe hain, aap bhi savdhaan ho jao! #StreeTrailerToday” Along with sharing the poster of the flick, the actor also revealed that the trailer of the film will be out today.
Even Shraddha Kapoor shared the poster on her social media with the caption, “Iss baar aurat ko nahi, desh ke har mard ko uss se khatra hai…aa rahi hai woh aap sabse milne! #StreeTrailerToday”
In the poster, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao seem to be much in love as they stand facing each other but there is a sense of horror that surrounds them. A shadowy female figure in the background shows that there is more to the film than just a usual horror story.
Earlier, Rajkummar Rao also shared the teaser of the film, which shows a deserted town with all its inhabitants probably have fled their houses. The cameras go through the lanes with houses placed close to each other and walls having the same message, ‘O stree, kal aana’ which translates to Stree, come tomorrow.’
Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree is a comical take on the folklore narrating tales of witches in the rural areas. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi and is scheduled to release on August 31.
