Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the entire cast of Padmaavat is on cloud nine. Their recently released film Padmaavat is touching the sky at the Indian as well foreign box office. It became the highest grossing Hindi film in a single day in North America, defeating Aamir Khan’s PK, Dangal and Dhoom 3. The recent development reveals that Padmaavat has unbelievably crossed the lifetime business of Dilwale, Bajirao Mastani, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai in its opening weekend in Australia.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the news on his Twitter account. He wrote: This may sound UNBELIEVABLE, but #Padmaavat has crossed *lifetime biz* of #Dilwale, #BajiraoMastani, #Sultan, #TigerZindaHai [still running] and #BajrangiBhaijaan in its *opening weekend* itself in Australia... Will cross #Dhoom3 today [Mon]… INCREDIBLE indeed!...

So far, Padmaavat has minted Rs 8.8 crore in Australia, Rs 7.59 crore in UK/Ireland, Rs 1.95 crore in New Zealand. It shattered the records of Aamir Khan’s PK in North America.

In just 4 days of its release, Padmaavat has crossed the 100-crore mark at the box office. On Sunday, the film earned Rs 30 crore taking the total to Rs 110 crore approximately. The total collection of the film includes the extended Republic Day weekend and its paid preview collection on Wednesday. The film opened at Rs 17 crore despite the protests and outrage around it. The makers now have their eyes set on the Rs 200-crore mark as the film is doing phenomenally well in Mumbai, West Bengal and South India circuits.
