Gold new promo: Akshay Kumar aka Tapan Das is determined to take India to new heights

Akshay Kumar has stirred a sense of patriotism in every Indian citizen since the moment his upcoming movie, Gold’s trailer dropped online. Like Akshay Kumar aka Tapan Das, every individual is filled with the passion of taking the country to new heights. To keep that fire burning, the makers of gold have released a new dialogue promo of the movie in which Akshay Kumar looks determined to write India’s name in golden letters on the World map.

In the new video, Akshay Kumar is seen taking his proposal of the hockey team to the authorities. The moment one of the members try to insult him, Tapan Das fights back saying, ‘apne naam ka baat nai kar rha hai mai, desh ke naam ka baat kar rha hai.’ Akshay speaks crisp Bengali accent in the promo. Talking about the same in an interview earlier, Akshay revealed, “I worked closely with our dialect coach. I have stayed in Kolkata for two years which actually helped me to play the character, its body language etc. I tried to speak with a Bengali accent… (but) I tried not to make it a caricature.”

Farhan Akhtar to star in 'The Sky is Pink' opposite Priyanka Chopra

Actor Farhan Akhtar to star in upcoming Bollywood movie- 'The Sky is Pink' directed by Shonali Bose of 'Margarita, with a Straw'. The 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' star will star opposite Priyanka Chopra of 'Mary Kom' and 'Dangal' star Zaira Wasim.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to announce this news. He wrote, "IT'S OFFICIAL... Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, and Zaira Wasim... Shonali Bose's next directorial to be produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ronnie Screwvala... Prep and script readings are on in full swing... Starts 8 Aug 2018... Dialogue by Juhi Chaturvedi... Music by Pritam."

Aanand L Rai’s horror-fantasy film Tumbbad to open Venice Film Festival's Critics' Week

Horror-fantasy "Tumbbad" has become the first Indian film to open the prestigious Venice Film Festival's Critics' Week on August 9.  The segment, which will run parallel to the 75th edition of the main festival, features nine films by first time directors from across the globe. The section's artistic director, Giona Nazzaro, called the 19th-century-set film, co-directed by Rai Anil Barve and Adesh Prasad, "a thrilling rollercoster ride". 

 
"'Tumbbad', the first Indian film ever to open the Venice International Film Critics' Week, is a thrilling rollercoaster ride that questions the roots of human greed while providing entertainment of the purest kind.
