Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra have proved their calibre in Bollywood and Hollywood and, boy oh boy we are proud of them! Now, Deepika has already bagged her second international film, fresh reports suggest. It looks like “Mastani” has defeated Priyanka in the Hollywood race.
While Deepika made her international debut with “xXx: Return of Xander Cage”, Priyanka is seen in ABC TV series Quantico and is also ready to enter Hollywood with “Baywatch”.
Reportedly, “Bang Bang” director Siddharth Anand is working on his next venture, an Indo-Chinese project in which Deepika will be seen in a lead role.
According to sources, the film will also star “Mermaid” fame Chinese actor Deng Chao.
A report by Filmfare quotes Sidharth as saying, “Yes, it’s a cross-cultural romance set in Beijing. I’m excited to explore and showcase another culture through this film. Our Chinese producers have suggested Deng Chao’s name but we will take a final call when I visit China.”
Siddharth also added, “The film will have an A-list actress who already has an international presence, so it could possibly be one of them.”
It is said that the international project is called Love in Beijing and is apparently a love story between an Indian girl and a Chinese man.
On a related note, Deepika Padukone also attended Michael Kors’ show at the New York Fashion Week. The actress was seen wearing a navy blue trench dress from Kors’ Spring 2017 collection and she looked simply stunning.
