Addressing a poll rally in Himachal Pradesh's Dhaula Kuan, PM Narendra Modi on Thursday said there are few elections where people decide whom to elect, this is such an election, Congress knows they'll be wiped off.

Earlier in the day, attacking Congress party in a poll rally in Himachal Pradesh's Kangra, PM Narendra Modi said the state's ruling party has become a "laughing club". "Congress has now become a laughing club, they need to introspect why people are turning away from them across the country," the prime minister said while addressing a public meet in Himachal's Kangra.

The prime minister said that the party is losing its hold in every corner of the country. "We all need to look at the Congress. We should appreciate them. Nothing is left for them and they have lost their hold from every part of the country," Modi said.

Attacking the Himachal Pradesh government, Modi said Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh was talking of action against corruption when he himself was out on bail on a corruption case. "Despite the case, Singh 'saheb' is claiming there will be zero tolerance against corruption if the Congress is back in power. Can anyone believe him?" asked Modi.

Elections to the 68-member Himachal Pradesh Assembly will be held on November 9 and the votes counted on December 18 along with Gujarat.
