Rates of precious metals in futures trade declined on Thursday, October 30, 2025, following the Federal Reserve's cautious stance on further rate cuts and positive signs of US-China trade talks. The gold December 5 contract on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) opened with a drop of Rs 1,541 at Rs 1,19,125 per 10 grams against the previous close of Rs 1,20,666. It dipped further to touch the low of Rs 1,18,665, a fall of Rs 2,001. Last seen, it was trading at Rs 1,20,169 with a fall of Rs 497 or 0.43per cent.
On the MCX, the yellow metal futures for February 2026 dropped by Rs 459 or 0.38 per cent to trade at Rs 1,21,411 per 10 grams in business turnover of 2,217 lots.
Silver Price On MCX
Similarly, the silver futures, maturing on December 5, 2025, started the session in the red. The contract opened with a loss of Rs 583 at Rs 1,45,498 per kg on the MCX against the previous close of Rs 1,46,798. It later fell to the low of Rs 1,44,402. Last seen, it was trading at Rs 1,45,531 - a dip of Rs 550 or 0.38 per cent from the previous close.
Gold Price in the International Market
In the international market, the COMEX gold price dropped 0.67 per cent, trading at approximately USD 3,973.8 per troy ounce. The spot gold price at 12:20 pm was USD 3,965.94 per ounce, down by 20.81 points or 0.52 per cent.
