Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday (May 13) addressed an election rally in Bihar's Hajipur and attacked the Opposition. He said that the Opposition only intends to take care of their families and not the people Bihar.

What did PM Modi say?

The Prime Minister said that the Opposition in Bihar does not intend to take Bihar forward and only care about their own family.

"RJD, Congress do not have the will to take Bihar forward. 'Vo apne baccho ko set karne mein lage hain'. They don't care about your children..." he said.

PM Modi said that those who vote for RJD and Congress or the Opposition alliance, their "vote is sure to be wasted".

"If someone even by mistake presses the button for RJD, Congress or INDI alliance, his vote is sure to be wasted. The people of Bihar are intelligent. So cast your vote to form the government, cast your vote to build the country, cast your vote for your future..." he said.

PM attacks Lalu Yadav over 'complete Muslim reservation' remark

The Prime Minister hit out at RJD chief Lalu Yadav over his "complete reservation" remark and said that the person who brought "jungle raj" is advocating to give reservation of backwards to Muslims.

"The priority of RJD, Congress are not you people, but their own vote bank. The person who brought 'Jungle Raj' to Bihar, who has been convicted by the court in the fodder scam said that reservation should be given to Muslims and that too complete reservation. They want to give reservation of Dalits, backwards, tribals to Muslims..." he said.

Notably, Lalu had said that Muslims should be given complete reservation, a remark that had stoked controversy in the political circles.

The Prime Minister reached Bihar yesterday and held a massive roadshow in Patna, first by any PM in the history, along with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
