New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today strongly condemned the terrorist attack on an Army school in Peshwar in which 126 children have been killed.

Modi termed the attack a senseless act of unspeakable brutality and offered his condolences to the family of the children.

In his tweets, Modi said, "Strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack at a school in Peshawar."

"It is a senseless act of unspeakable brutality that has claimed lives of the most innocent of human beings - young children in their school.

"My heart goes out to everyone who lost their loved ones today. We share their pain & offer our deepest condolences," added Modi.

Around six to seven terrorists of the Tehreek-e-Taliban stormed an Army school in Pakistan's Peshawar city today.

126 children have been killed in the firing by the terrorists. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister KP Pervez Khattak has confirmed the number of children killed in this attack.

More than 80 people including children have been injured in the firing.

According to the reports, terrorists have burnt alive a lady teacher to terrorise the students.

3 terrorists have been killed by security forces while one of them blew himself.
