The outcome of the UNSC meeting will not be a formal pronouncement as the consultations are informal in nature. India and Pakistan are not attending the meeting, which is open only to the five permanent members and 10 non-permanent members.

“In terms of policy, France and Germany have strong policy which is to work together to enlarge the Security Council and to succeed in terms of the negotiations that should lead to the enlargement of the Security Council,” France’s Permanent Representative to the UN François Delattre said.
China is said to be being gradually driven towards a consent in Unite Nations security Council to designated Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar as global terrorist. Masood Azhar is the mastermind of Pulwama terror attacks.

Germany has proposed a ban on Azhar by the European Union. But so far there is no resolution on the issue has been moved yet, diplomatic sources told PTI.
